The Isle of Bute is situated off the west
coast of Scotland. It is peripheral to the periphery, and has all the added problems that come with being an island.
Unemployment is high, incomes are low, houses are small, people with higher education are few. It suffered as tourism
changed. In the middle of the last century, the shipbuilders and steel workers from industrial Clydeside flocked to the
island for their annual week’s holiday. Those days of full employment and local vacations are long gone.
However, Bute’s scenery and setting still offer qualities that are not readily available elsewhere
and attract some to retire there.
Tranemo youths are inviting to spring camp in Sweden !

Tranemo youths Lois, David, Jonas and Ellen are inviting youths from the Innovation Circle Network to visit Sweden and
Tranemo in the spring. 27th April until 1th May the camp will be happening at Pćarp Farm in Svenljunga
Municipality close to Tranemo. The program will focus on environment and future living. They say in the invitation
"Our environment is a huge problem nowadays and it?s very important that we take care of our future society.
Therefore, we are setting up a camp. It is not a world changing task, but every journey of thousands miles starts with
one step." They also promise that the camp will be fun and joyful and a big chance to meet new

of Geuzenveld-Slotermeer experimented with the technique of 'branding' in the regeneration of the Eendrachtspark
Neighborhood. This approach differs from conventional techniques of citizen participation in urban planning and brings

Nordic countries lead the Innovation Union Scoreboard 2011
Almost all Member States have improved their innovation performance according to
the Innovation Union Scoreboard 2011. Nordic countries and Germany remain the innovation leaders with Sweden, Denmark,
Germany and Finland all showing a performance well above that of the EU27 average.
