August Issue – IC goes Germany                            

What a summer! While whole Europe faced more rain than acceptable during the season that is supposed to be the hottest of the year, the Innovation Circle Network looks back to a hot August 2011. The 5th edition of the ICN Summer Youth Camp was a success with more than 60 participants from eight different countries and just recently the IC Board Members met in Berlin to discuss the latest issues and to visit Germany's political headquarters, the Bundestag. One outcome of the meeting: The Annual IC conference will take place 8th – 9th of December 2011 in Jurmala, Latvia. More info about the program will be published on soon.

Berlin was the place to be for the latest Innovation Circle Board Meeting. This week ten IC members went for a flying visit to Germany’s capital. The program included a visit to the Bundestag as well as a comprehensive agenda for the Board Meeting. New contacts are made to spread the word about ICN.

The generation that makes a difference

About 50 young people from eight different countries made this year’s ICN Summer Youth Camp another successful and beneficial event. Together they showed the potential of youths. “We had a tremendous camp, with a lot of important discussions”, resumed Camp leader Anders Sølve Strand.

With more than 1400 artistic events to be organized, the cultural program of the Polish Presidency has been one of the most ambitious projects to promote Poland since 1989. Projects prepared by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, in cooperation with Polish and foreign partners, will be presented in the most important galleries, theatres and clubs, and at the most important festivals in Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Moscow, Kiev, Minsk, Beijing and Tokyo.
