Regional Council of Jönköping County

The Regional Council of Jönköping County was constituted on 1 January 2005 and was commissioned to work for sustainable developments and new growth in the region. The thirteen municipalities of the county and the County Council are represented in the Regional council, which strengthens their political influence on the development of the region.

Robertsfors

Robertsfors Municipality

Robertsfors is a small town (population of 2000) in Västerbotten, Sweden and the seat of Robertsfors Municipality, Västerbotten County. Robertsfors is named after the Scotsman Robert Finlay, who, together with John Jennings, founded an ironworks there in 1751.

Tranemo

Tranemo Municipality

Tranemo is situated in the western part of Sweden, about 110 km from Gothenburg. The municipality of Tranemo has almost 12 000 inhabitants, living in 13 smaller and bigger villages. From Tranemo you can reach the international airport in Gothenburg and also the airport in Jönköping within one hour. Tranemo is situated along one of the major swedish raillinks which enables fast transportations from the west coast of Sweden to the east coast. Main road 27, from the city of Borås to the city of Växjö, crosses the municipality of Tranemo, and makes it easy to go by car to Tranemo.
