Project „Eco-Europe for the future” is sustained by the European Commission through the Programme Europe for Citizens 2007-2013 and carried out by the Mountain Community of Iezer Muscel (Romania) in partnership with Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments, RAM “Central Stara Planina” (Bulgaria), Downpatrik Twinning Partnership (Northern Ireland), XVII Comunita Montana Monti Aurunci (Italy).
The first project workshop took place in Latvia at the end of August 2010. Participants exchanged their experience on environmental issues, discussed the project activities and new ideas for possible joint projects. Representative from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Latvia Mrs. Rudīte Vesere informed about the Policy in the field of Environmental Protection in Latvia.
The next project activity – the international Conference “Ecological agriculture from concept to concrete” - will take place from 15th – 18th October 2010 in Godeni, Romania. It will create an opportunity to share knowledge on this so important and actual matter.
