Bronislaw_Komorowski_2010_grey_crop Bronislaw Komorowski wants to encourage patriotism. At his home page one can read the following:"Patriotism is the ability to organise mutual help, to build space where everyone feels safe. As a president I will be supporting non-governmental organisations and initiatives – the foundation of civil society."

The new president wants Poland to continue a realistic economic politics: "Poland has avoided a crisis similar to the Greek one thanks to careful decisions of the independent central bank and budget discipline imposed by the governments. We are the only country in Europe that has maintained substantial economic growth."

Komorowski also will suggest to change the election system for local government. He is a strong supporter of the system first-past-the-post: "I would like the electoral system for the local governments to facilitate this process. Therefore I will be advocating first-past-the-post system in the elections for the council of communes, which will result in building strong local communities with reall leaders."
