Murmansk may not be the most beautiful town but it definately has character as the time lapse video „Murmansk in motion“ by Alexander Bergan shows. The city lights and the purple night sky plunges the town in an exotic light. Ice and snow, busy streets, cranes that seem to dance to the sound of the vibrating city.
Bergan shows the „capital of the arctic“ from a fresh and inspiring perspective. He takes you to the waterfront, under bridges, on highways and to scenic outposts. Industry and dark skies dominate these pictures but not in a scary way. In the contrary – Murmansk is alive, it is exotic, different from brushed up global cities. It seems to be place you have to visit to see and feel it.
